Movie Spotlight!: Big Hero 6 Cast

Sans titre11125 - Copie - Copie

Hello there, comic book and movie fans, today I got the latest news on Disney’s Big Hero 6, where they have announced the full main voice cast for Big Hero 6, an animated adaptation of a Marvel comic that separate from the bigger live action Marvel cinematic universe. The film will feature Ryan Potter as Hiro Hamada; Scott Adsit as Baymax; T.J. Miller as Fred; Jamie Chung as Go Go Tomago; Damon Wayans Jr. as Wasabi; Genesis Rodriguez as Honey Lemon; Maya Rudolph as Aunt Cass; James Cromwell as Professor Callaghan; Alan Tudyk as Alistair Krei; and Daniel Henney as Tadashi Hamada.

Big Hero 6 was created for Marvel by Steven T. Seagle and Duncan Rouleau and focuses on Hiro Hamada and his robot Baymax as they team with other heroes to save San Fransokyo. The movie is directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams, is set to debut November 7th. And if you like what you see and read then please, share, like, and comment, help us spread the loving.

“BIG HERO 6″ Robotics prodigy HIRO HAMADA has the mind of a genius—and the heart of a 14-year-old: his state-of-the-art battle-bots dominate the underground bot fights held in the dark corners of San Fransokyo. Fortunately, big brother Tadashi redirects Hiro’s brilliance, inspiring him to put his brain to the test in a quest to gain admission to the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. When a tragic event changes everything, Hiro turns to a robot named Baymax, and they form an unbreakable bond—and two-sixths of a band of high-tech heroes on a very important mission. ©2014 Disney. “BIG HERO 6″ BAYMAX cares. That’s what he was designed to do. The plus-sized inflatable robot’s job title is technically Healthcare Companion: With a simple scan, Baymax can detect vital stats, and, given a patient’s level of pain, can treat nearly any ailment. Conceived and built by Tadashi Hamada, Baymax just might revolutionize the healthcare industry. But to the inventor’s kid brother Hiro, the nurturing, guileless bot turns out to be more than what he was built for—he’s a hero, and quite possibly Hiro’s closest friend. And after some deft reprogramming that includes a rocket fist, super strength and rocket thrusters that allow him to fly, Baymax becomes one of the “Big Hero 6.” ©2014 Disney. All Rights Reserved.

“BIG HERO 6″ It’s elemental when it comes to chemistry whiz HONEY LEMON. Don’t let her glasses and funky fashion fool you: Honey may be as sweet as her namesake, but she has a fire in her belly and a can-do attitude that make her pretty much unstoppable. Her knowledge of alchemy proves powerful, too, when the effusive brainiac becomes part of the “Big Hero 6” and creates clever concoctions that when thrown, can get her team out of nearly any jam. ©2014 Disney. “BIG HERO 6″ WASABI is committed to precision. He’s super smart and just a touch neurotic, but the big and burly neatnik can’t help but join the cause when Hiro needs him most. As part of “Big Hero 6,” Wasabi amplifies his martial arts skills with jaw-dropping plasma blade weaponry. Sharp doesn’t even begin to describe this guy. ©2014 Disney. All Rights Reserved.

“BIG HERO 6″ Aptly named GO GO TOMAGO knows what it takes to be fast. She’s tough, athletic and loyal to the bone, but not much of a conversationalist. Popping bubble gum and delivering well-placed sarcasm are totally her speed. The daredevil adrenaline junkie is at her best on wheels, and when Go Go joins forces with “Big Hero 6,” she rolls like never before, using maglev discs as wheels, shields and throwing weapons. ©2014 Disney. “BIG HERO 6″ Fanboy FRED comes off like a laid-back dude with no direction. But this sign-twirling, monster-loving, comic-book aficionado is sure to go places—when he’s good and ready. For example, Fred doesn’t hesitate to join “Big Hero 6,” and he has a lot of ideas for his super-hero skillset, too. His ferocious, fire-breathing alter ego comes complete with claws, integrated communications and a super bounce. But his sign-spinning may still come in handy. ©2014 Disney. All Rights Reserved.

A Brony Tale

Hello there geek fans, here is a very unique subject matter I wanted to share with all of you, Bronies, which are the subculture of middle aged men who are obsessed with the show My Little Pony. Now I don’t consider myself a Bronies, but I have seen s few episodes and my niece loves the show, so I can appreciate the cartoon, and I can definitely say growing up when My Little Pony originally came out, this show is so much better and not crazy ass girlie like it’s original, it fits very well into the modern day style of cartoons we see today like Adventure Time, Regular Show, and etc. It’s a very goofy and off the wall playful and funny series that even plays with its geek fanbase, like have a small character inspired by Dr. Who.

Now to showcase this side of the My Little Pony fandom is a movie A BRONY TALE, which not only gives us an inside look into the incredible niche world of these men, called Bronies, but also into their lives where their intense love for the series is present in. Documentary producer Morgan Spurlock, who previously covered comics fandom in his San Diego Comic-Con documentary Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope, has turned his camera on My Little Pony fans in a new documentary release premiering in July. A Brony Tale is the first release under Executive Producer Morgan Spurlock’s (Super Size Me, One Direction: This is Us) “Morgan Spurlock Presents” label.  Directed by Canadian Brent Hodge (CBC’s Winning America, The Cockumentary), the movie will premiere in theaters on July 8th, and come to Video on Demand on July 15th.  The movie will follow Brent Hodge as he learns about what he believes are the estimated three million adult males in the United States that identify as fans of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic cartoon series. Also, in the documentary it follows Canadian voice actress Ashleigh Ball, who voices Applejack and Rainbow Dash on the show, on her journey to the 2012 BronyCon event in New York City as she meets members of the fandom.

I never knew that there was much of a male fanbase for this show so it’s very interesting to know that it’s big enough for a convention and strong enough in pop culture for a documentary. I will definitely check out this documentary, one I love documentaries, especially ones on the unique and pop culture related, and two I’m interested in the lives of these guys who seem to love this show to high degrees. And if you like what you see and read then please, share, like, and comment, help us spread the loving.

Wizarding World Of Harry Potter’s New Diagon Alley Attractions

Hello there everyone, today I’m bringing some news to the fans of the Harry Potter movies and books, and it’s about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter themed area that is located in the Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida. First open at June 18, 2010, with one of the big part of the first phase of the plan was Hogsmeade Village, or simply Hogsmeade which contains many gift shops and restaurants from the series of Harry Potter books including Dervish and Banges, Honeydukes, Ollivanders, Zonko’s Joke Shop, the Three Broomsticks, and the Hog’s Head.

Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts

So on May 8, 2013, it was officially announced that phase two will consist of the constructed of the Hogwart Express, to take guess thru the attraction, and featuring attractions themed after Diagon Alley and London. Here are some beautiful pictures from the attraction, and even though it is not open yet, it seems to be very close to being done and ready for visitors anytime now. I’m loving the look of this, its look it jump right out of the movie, I know a few Harry Potter fans in my family that will love this. Although I’m not crazy about what seems to be animatronics goblins, I’m absolutely in love with the set designs, definitely gives you the sense of the movie, wish the goblins were just people in movie quality makeup instead of robots. Movie Spotlight: Interstellar Trailer

imageHi all, today I’m writing about an upcoming movie from Christopher Nolan the director of Inception and The Dark Knight Trilogy – Interstellar, which is based on the scientific theories of renowned theoretical physicist Kip Thorne. Interstellar stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway,  Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Michael Caine, and Ellen Burstyn, and looks to be a visually stunning piece of cinematography. Telling the story of a newly discovered Wormhole, Interstellar focuses on a voyage taken by scientists and explorers through the mysterious passageway. The point of this mission – To transcend previous limitations on human space travel. The plot is also said to touch on the topics of alternate dimensions and time travel. However details on this film are scarce with the creators being very tight lipped. The official Interstellar website gives the following statement.

“In the future, governments and economies across the globe have collapsed,  food is scarce , NASA is no more , and the 20th century is to blame, a mysterious rise in spacetime opens and it’s up to whatever is left of NASA to explore and offer hope to mankind.”

So there is no real in depth plot information available yet, however ill definitely keep checking in to it in the upcoming months. There has been a great deal of secrecy surrounding this title with Nolan said to have filmed this feature under the name Flora’s Letter to preserve the integrity of the script. From the trailer Interstellar looks like it will definitely be a film I go to watch when it’s released on the 7th November. Also if your yet to see the footage you can check it out below :). Spotlight: Big Hero 6 teaser trailer

Hey there everyone, here is a movie I’m hoping to get more people excited in, check out the teaser trailer for Disney’s newest upcoming movie, Big Hero 6, a Disney take on a Marvel’s comic book. The teaser trailer won’t tell u much about the movie but gives you a good look and feel for the main character Hiro, a teenage inventor and Baymax, his robot sidekicks. The film has been directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams and is due out in the US in November, in the UK in February 2015. I’m hoping for more Asian centric or theme movies, and more comic book movies outside the more popular characters, so hopefully this may spark everyone’s interest in this movie, and that it becomes as big or close to the mania of Frozen. And if you like what you see and read then please, share, like, and comment, help us spread the loving.

Batman v Superman

Some quick comic book/movie news, Warner Bros. has begun shooting its Batman-Superman film, which finally has a title and a official logo for the movie which you can see above.  The film is titled Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and as you can see that this movie will probably be a introduction to the Justice League movie that was announce to be happening after the Batman-Superman movie. Shooting is happening in Detroit, according to Warner Bros., with principal photography at Michigan Motion Picture Studios and on location in and around Detroit, Illinois, Africa, and the South Pacific. Batman v Superman:  Dawn of Justice is set to be released on May 6, 2016, and as much of a Marvel Comics fan that I am, I’m still hoping this is going to be good because I’m a general good movie, good comic book, good comic adaption fan that is looking for good entertainment from my geekdom.

A Women’s View: Channing Tatum is the new Gambit

Channing Tatum is set to play Gambit after Lauren Shuler Donner confirms the casting, Tatum will be taking over the role from Taylor Kitsch who appeared as Remy LeBeau back in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. With rumor of an appearance in 2016’s X-men apocalypse and his own potential spin off, it doesn’t seem like we will have much of a wait before we see Tatum in LeBeau’s signature trench coat. If the spin off is true Channing will be only the second character to get his own film, a slightly unexpected move considering Tatum hasn’t played Gambit in any of the previous X-Men titles. However, Channing who grew up in Mississippi had expressed interest in playing the Louisiana born character in the past stating –

“Gambit is the only X-man I’ve ever loved” following up with “I don’t know, I just related to him….I would die to play him”

At the X-men: Days of future past premier in London last week Shuler Donner said “He’s a rascal, just like Remy LeBeau. And he can handle the action, we all know that”

Gambit is known as an outsider and ladies man and well Channing Tatum is simply gorgeous – So the ladies man part is down pat! Not only does he the ability to create, control and manipulate kinetic energy, he is also highly skilled in card throwing, hand to hand combat and the use of a bo, a Japanese fighting staff. Originally a professional thief, Gambit was trusted by very few X-men, a bone of contention between him and his love interest Rogue – Gambit also has ties to the villain, Mister Sinister. Gambit first appeared in Uncanny X-men #266 but had a cameo appearance in the Uncanny X-men Annual #14. Since then he increased in popularity rating 65th in IGN’s top 100 comic book heroes of all time.

Some people aren’t that happy to see Tatum in this role, but personally I’m looking forward to seeing how he portrays the character. However it is hard to picture Channing playing the one character loathed by the majority of the X-men. A few of my friends were not overjoyed with the choice saying Shuler Donner was the only person pushing for Gambit to appear in the next film, and that she only cast him as he was easy on the eye. What are your thoughts? Let me know :).
