Movie Spotlight: Transformers: Age of Extinction Trailer

imageHi everyone, So today I got a chance to see the trailer for the upcoming Paramount release – Transformers: Age of Extinction. This is the fourth installment in the series,  starring Mark Wahlberg as the lead – Cade Yeager. Like the three previous movies this film was directed by Micheal Bay, with Steven Spielberg as the executive producer. Also the screenplay for this film was written by Ehren Kruger, who has written for every film from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen onwards. This film sees the return of well loved Transformers such as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Ratchet but is the first film to feature the Dinobots.

Telling the story of Cade Yeager a (single father and mechanic) and his daughter Tessa who four years after the invasion of Chicago discover Optimus Prime. This discovery brings the Autobots, Decepticons and a government agency down on them, destroying there quiet life. I cannot wait to see this movie! I am a huge Transformers fan and was sold just from seeing Optimus take a ride on the back of Grimlock in the trailer. There was definitely no expense spared in the making of this movie with there budget being a reported $165 million! However the effects are amazing and the battle scenes are almost flawless. I am also looking forward to seeing there adaptations of the Dinobots after seeing a snippet of them in the trailer. So far I know the film will feature Grimlock, Strafe, Scorn, Slug, Slog, Snarl and Slash.

I also heard a rumour that Unicorn, the gigantic planet sized villain would be making an appearance and reeking some havoc. As Cyclonus his right hand man who in the origianal animated series was created by Unicorn from the remains of dying Decepticons was reported to be featured. However it is just a rumour and although it would be an amazing addition it has not been confirmed, but im keeping my fingers crossed! Transformers: Age of Extinction is set for release on the 27th June in both IMAX and 3D variations. Do if you haven’t had a chance to check out the trailer check it out below.
